August 15, 2008Behind the Wheel
Once again I'm lagging on this. I'm sorry.
Well the last time I blogged was before I saw Bloc Party. Damn, that was a hell of a show. Kele was in the greatest mood. He seemed so happy to be playing again. It made me smile to see him smile, especially after the Sex Pistol incident. The setlist was great and the band was flawless. I saw them play a few songs at Detour last year and I thought that was good for a festival type setting. Headlining shows are always so much better. Helicopter to close out the show blew my mind. Overall, do not underestimate Bloc Party. Does it Offend You, Yeah? was great too bad the crowd was lame. Oh and another thing about the show. WHY IN THE FUCK WOULD YOU BE IN A WHEELCHAIR IN THE PIT!? The poor girl could barely see over the barricade, she shouldn't have been there. People of course were pushing and the people around did there best to keep everyone back, but of course four people aren't going to be able to hold off a hundred people. I understand she wanted to be close, but come on, not in the pit right in front of the barricade. I have to go for now. To be continued...

August 4, 2008Doing the Unstuck
Well right now I have a decision that I have to make. I have to make the right decision. Do I let this continue or do I move on? Time is running out. Now is the time.
"it's always the same wake up in the rain head in pain hung in shame" Will the cycle end? Will things change? It's likely that it wont. I don't know if I can take this anymore. I love her. I truly do. Is this the time to move on? Yeah, this blog blows and so does this situation. No one reads this anyways. Well if the person who suggested my video to be featured reads this, thank you! You're awesome! Kind of a weird coincidence that I got that video up today. Anyways, thanks for reading.

August 2, 2008This Ain't A Surfin Movie...
more like a video upload frenzy!
So I finally figured out that my iMovie has a share thing that uploads my videos straight to youtube. Awesome! I have a bunch of live videos from Blaqk Audio, Tegan and Sara, Justice, Hot Chip, and The Cure. I have a few posted already with more to come. Make sure to look out for those within the next few days. Oh and YES, I did record these. Thanks!

July 27, 2008Hearts on Fire
"There's something in the air tonight
A feeling that you have that could change your life There's something burning up inside I reach out for you and our hearts collide" Cut Copy - Hearts on Fire Yesterday started out to be one horrible day. First off it was hotter than hell. I didn't want to do a damn thing, especially go to work. I was suppose to see my girlfriend before leaving, but plans fell through and that didn't happen. So I laid in bed struggling to get a single minute of sleep. Four rolls around and I'm at working waiting for the clock to hit 9. Fast forward 5 hours and I'm stepping out the doors and relieved that the weather has cooled down and that I can put the top down on my car. It's been a while since I've been able to do that. Halfway home I get a text from my girlfriend. She tells me to call her when I get off work. So, I immediately call her as this was a bit odd to me. I say hello and ask her what is going on. She replies that her father(el diablo) is letting her out for the night. I become ecstatic, as this is a rare occurrence that she is let out this late. I get home and ten minutes later she's in my arms and her lips pressed against mine. This was a wonderful treat after a horrible day. I couldn't have been happier. There was something about the night that made it all the more special. I don't know what it was, but it was powerful. I felt something so deep and real. That night truly opened my eyes. Well I guess that's enough about yesterday. I have to go in to work today, which blows, I hate closing. At least I'm getting paid. Tomorrow Kara and I are going to see Bloc Party with Does It Offend You, Yeah? Pretty damn excited about that. HARD Haunted Mansion looks ridiculous! Soulwax, Simian Mobile Disco, Boys Noize, Deadmau5! I think I know what I'm going to be doing this Halloween. That's enough for now. Thanks!

July 24, 2008Close To Me
It's been a while since I've posted a blog, I apologize for that. Well where to start...
My girlfriend has been gone in Hawaii for the past two weeks and she finally came home a couple of days ago. Yesterday I finally got to see her. Her birthday was on Sunday and I felt bad because she was so far away and I couldn't be with her on her day. So, I made yesterday her second birthday. I got her some awesome stuff that made her eyes water, in a good way of course. We went to the movies to see The Dark Knight, by the way is a damn good movie. Then we went out to dinner. Overall, it was an amazing night and I couldn't be happier. I'm so glad to finally have my Kara back home. Well the heat is in full force. It's hot as hell and once again it sucks having long hair and wearing those tight ass jeans. FUCK YOU GLOBAL WARMING! I need to buy my ticket for Cut Copy and The Presets at The Glasshouse. Should be an awesome show. Still considering going to Street Scene. Wish I could score photo passes for it. It was so fun shooting at Detour last year and Bamboozle Left. Thanks to Buzznet for making that happen. Going to see Bloc Party with Does it Offend You, Yeah? on Monday! I haven't posted new pictures in a while. I suppose I'll be doing that within a few days. Thanks for reading!

June 22, 2008The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me
I'm not sure what to do right now. I have a decision that I need to make, but I'm not sure what is best. There is something that is destroying me and I don't know what to do to stop it. I suppose only time will tell what will be right for me.
I'm over this heat. I need a vacation. I want to hop in my car, throw the top down, and drive as fast as I can to some place unknown. I really need something to take my breath away. I need her to take my breath away... I need to dance damnit. As lame as that sounds, I need it. I desperately need a release. Bloc Party is too far away. I wish I had money for Electric Daisy Carnival. Boys Noize, Rabbit in the Moon, Paul Van Dyk, etc! Ah! I hate not having money. I miss my friends. A random night on the town is much needed. I really wish this site would talk about other music besides the typical Warped Tour/Hot Topic crap. Someone messaged me asking me if I was interested in blogging about Indie music. I wish I saved it and replied. It would be cool to make an impact here. I suppose that's all for now. If I have more I'll post another. Thank you for reading.

June 20, 2008For the Workforce Drowning - June 20, 2008
I've yet to understand my sleeping pattern. Every night I lie in bed quickly falling asleep at wee hours of the night, but every morning just as the sun creeps through my window I'm quick to rise to the day. This lack of sleep is driving me insane. It leaves me tired and weak all throughout the day. I feel bad for my girlfriend. She has to put up with me being so lazy. I want to go out and have fun, but I don't have the energy to do so. Now that I no longer have to wake up early for school, I can only hope that my sleeping habits return to normal. Anyways, enough about sleep.
I have to work today. Eh, I'm not too excited about that. It's no biggie though, it's not like it's hard work (even though I deserver to get paid more).
I can't stop thinking about next week. My girlfriend is leaving to Washington for a week, and I can't help but worry. I have this problem of thinking that the worst possible scenario is going to happen. It kills me and I would hate to make anyone else feel the same, especially her. It's going to be tough not seeing her for so long, but I'm sure I can manage. As long as I know she's okay, then I'll be fine.
I'm getting sick of this weather. I hate clicking on my dashboard (I'm on a Mac) and seeing the weather. It's like a sick joke as I see the sun high above me laughing in my face. Todays high, 105. I'm pretty sure I don't want to go outside and do anything. Thank you heat. Oh how I miss you Fall. Remember the good times we had? When I could get in my car, put the top down and not have any worries. I'm sure those days are long gone.
Here's some stuff I've been listening to. I recommend checking some of it out, you might like it!
The Cure - Out of this World Ever since I saw them play this at the Shrine Auditorium at the beginning of the month I've been obsessed. It sends chills running down my body as a grin forms on my face. You can't go wrong with Robert Smith.
Underworld - Mmm...Skyscraper I Love You (Jam Scraper) Sorry, no video for this. My god is this song beautiful! It is so relaxing. It is perfect for a late night drive. I encourage everyone to try and find this song. It's an epic masterpiece.
Well I suppose that's enough for now. I hope everyone has a good day. Remember to stay hydrated. Peace...

Blogfest 2008
Well I'm finally done with spring quarter of school. Now that I have more free time I'm going to be blogging more. I hope to do a mix of text and video blogs. I'll talk about random things such as myself, I'll be giving an insight into my life, music I'm currently listening to, movies and shows I've watched, concert reviews, etc.
Hope it turns out great and hope I get readers and viewers. Thanks! :D

April 28, 2008April Tour 2008. Stop 2: Tegan and Sara
I know I'm posting this late, but I've been ridiculously busy,
April 23, 2008 I saw Tegan and Sara at the Glass House in Pomona, California. Well, I wasn't exactly excited for this show. My girlfriend is a fan of theirs and I bought for her and I for Valentines Day. My day began with lots and lots of waiting. I had the day off with nothing to do, while I waited for my girlfriend to arrive at my house. 6 o' clock rolls around and we are finally on our way. I'm one who never likes to be late, especially for a show. I sped down the 10 freeway making it to the venue just as the doors opened. Once inside, there were a great amount of people already waiting. An eternity passes by and the underwhelming An Horse come on to get the ball rolling. The guy girl duo had difficulties right off the back. The singers amp was messed up and took a few minutes to set the complications straight. This band was a total bore fest. Every song sounded the same. The crowd seemed to agree by the motionless state that they were in. After a good amount of time later, the lights are off and the Quin twins appear on stage. I'm not familiar with much of their material so I can't really judge the difference between recordings and live. The sound wasn't too bad though. The band is known for their banter and I'm not very fond of it. The crowd was extremely weak. I guess it's cool to not move when the band you paid for is playing. You don't want to get caught by others seeing you have a good time. In conclusion, I will not be seeing them again, but I'm glad I got to see my girlfriend have a good time and see a smile on her face. So if you're into Tegan and Sara, I guess go see them, I recommend you bring some enthusiasm though.

April 23, 2008April Tour 2008. Stop 1: Kanye West Glow In The Dark TourI got there way too early. I arrived to the Nokia Theater in LA at about 2 pm. Little did I know, they weren't allowing people to park until 4pm. I had 2 hours to kill and didn't want to pay to park. I drove around — passing the Convention Center, USC, and other places. I made my way to MacArthur Park and slept there for an hour. Time came for me to park at the venue. I pull up to the garage and bam! $20 damn dollars! That is ridiculous, but what can I do, I had to pay it. I get to the front of the venue and there are maybe 20 people there. Two hours pass and I'm walking in. The usher asks to see my ticket and then smiles and says, "Walk all the way down to the first two rows." I was a bit confused. My ticket states that I was row 5. I get to the front and ask another usher to help me find my seat. She directs me to the front row and I was in shock! I had no idea I would be that close. I couldn't stop smiling the rest of the night. After about an hour waiting — Lupe Fiasco was up. He played a mixture of new and old songs. The highlight was definitely the excerpt of "Kick, Push." The extended version of S"uperstar" was a close second favorite. Unfortunately, his set was short and the crowd wasn't too into them. Lots of empty seats. I guess it will always be cool to be fashionably late. Next up, N.E.R.D. I've never really listened too much of Pharrell's band. I wasn't really sure what to expect. Their set consisted mostly of radio hits. I recognized a few of the songs. It was really cool seeing them play "Rockstar." I haven't heard that song in years! After their set, Pharrell comes towards me, shakes my hand as I reach out, then runs through the crowd followed by two members of his band. Everyone was going crazy trying to touch this man. N.E.R.D. was great, but now it was time to "stand under her umbrella ella ella eh eh eh." Rihanna was something I wasn't really looking forward to. It did turn out better than I expected. I'm glad they embraced the glow in the dark theme for the night. Rihanna and her dancers were all wearing bright neon colors that brightened when the right amount of light hit them. The light sabers were pretty awesome. There goes the geek in me ... ha! Overall, it was eh, I could've done without her. Wake up Mr. West we have a world to save. It was finally time for the one we all had been waiting for — Kanye West. Kanye and his spaceship, Jane took us on a Journey across the universe. Earth was wrecked and the only one who could save it — Kanye. We flew through the stars and we were hit by a meteor. Crash landed on an unknown planet and encountered an alien. We repaired and made our trek home. Then we encountered a loss of power, but we find the strength to power our way back home. Once we enter our atmosphere and touch the earths sky, Lupe Fiasco joins Kanye on stage for a great performance of "Touch the Sky." We finally landed. The set list consisted of many greats, lots off of Graduation. "Hey Mama" gave me chills. "Stronger" was insane. The crowd was in a frenzy the whole time. Kanye did not disappoint. If this tour makes a stop in a city near you, don't miss it. Accept the mission and take the journey. __-=end-bn-cut=-__

March 31, 2008Justice
Today I'm going to see Justice for the third time. I'll be heading to the Mayan Theater around 12:30. Hopefully there wont be too many people lined up already. Seeing as it is monday, I doubt there will be. This will be my first show of the year. It's been too long since my last show which was Thursday at the Glasshouse. I will hopefully have pictures when I get back.

February 21, 2008Do the D.A.N.C.E.
This year has had a slow start so far. I haven't been to a show since Thursday at the Glasshouse in November. Come March, it's all going to change.
Here is my schedule 3/21 Justice - Mayan Theater 4/18 Ghostland Observatory - Henry Fonda Theater 4/22 Kanye West - Nokia Theater 4/23 Tegan and Sara - Glasshouse 4/25-27 Coachella 4/28 Hot Chip - Mayan Theater It will be my third time doing the D.A.N.C.E. with J.U.S.T.I.C.E. They never let down show it should be a blast! April will probably be the greatest month of my life. First stop, Ghostland Observatory. It wasn't too long ago that I got into these guys. As soon as I heard Sad Sad City, I immediately fell in love. It will be my first time seeing them and I will believe all the hype about these Texans. Glow in the Dark! After Kanye West's Grammy performance with special guests Daft Punk, Mr. West's Glow in the Dark tour is looking to be the biggest tour this year. I was fortunate enough to score a pit ticket to his second date in the city of angels in the new Nokia Theater. Less than 24 hours later, I will be making my way to the Glasshouse in Pomona. I'm not really a Tegan and Sara fan, but this show will be special to me because I will be there with my girlfriend. I purchased tickets for her and I for Valentines Day. Give me a reason to love...THE DESERT! Coachella is giving me that reason. I only went one day last year and worked half of it and vowed to go the next year. My life was changed as I danced the night away to the trancy dream that is Tiesto's closing set. Justice liberated me from my insecurities and embarrassment. They are the first artists to get me to dance without a care in the world of who's watching and what others are thinking. This year I will get to relive that experience with Justice, Portishead will give me a reason to love, I will learn to compute with Kraftwerk, I will witness the great gig in the desert with Roger Waters, and my weapon of choice will be dance with Fatboy Slim. If I still have the energy, I will be making my way back to LA to see Hot Chip at the Mayan. I was first introduced to the band at Coachella last year. Despite the insane heat, I really enjoyed the show. They had the crowd going right from the start. Unfortunately, I was working and wasn't able to enjoy the whole set as I would've liked, but this show at the Mayan should definitely make up for it. 8 days of ecstasy (not the drug), 8 days of freedom, 8 days of non stop fun. Who knows what will be next.

November 6, 2007A revolution
Well if I want change I'm going to have to do it myself.
So I'm going to try a few things. Not exactly sure what but it will be a work in progress. I'm going to post a number of things that are related to the bands and artists that I enjoy. I'm boycotting anything involving various bands that are constantly featured on Buzznet. I'll Buzz the crap out of anything that doesn't have to do with any of these artists. Hopefully others will see what I'm doing and participate. I'm not looking to do anything negative, I just want to see some change. With change will attract new users with new ideas and new opinions. There are many possibilities and great heights that this site can reach and I'd like to see that happen. If you want to help, thank you.

September 14, 2007Wake up Mr. West
I just got back from seeing Kanye West. Wow such an amazing performance! So much energy. He really had the crowd pumped. After he played I met him at Virgin Records across the street. Got my copy of Graduation signed and shook his hand.
I saw a couple who you would all love to see. Off to the side of the stage was......... Pete Wentz and Ashlee Simpson. Kanye brought out Pete Wentz onto the middle of the stage and Gold Digga came on. He wanted Pete to sing it with him. Pete bitched out! Overall it was a great night! :]
