My name is Derek. I’m 18 years old. I live in the 909 of Colton, California. My life can be heard through the sounds of music. Every heart beat and every breath is carried with a simple note. My life is one big song. Every line or phrase I hear i can usually turn it into a bands lyric. I relate to most of the music I listen to. I have a broad knowledge in music. I listen to it all. I can pretty much talk to anyone about music. It’s my life. It is me. Complex, different, but not quite distant. I’m easy to get to know. I’m very comfortable with myself. I tell people a lot about myself, which you will soon see as you make your way down into me. Well enough of this crazy stuff. Hmm, I’m a college freshman at CSUSB. I’m majoring in Psychology. Not sure what I want to do with my degree when I get it, but I know i want to help people. I enjoy helping friends and whoever i can, it’s fulfilling for me. I really wish I could completely change someone’s life in a positive way like on Extreme Makeover Home Edition. That show brings tears to my eyes. It’s beautiful to see someone so happy. Moving on. I’ve been playing guitar for like 5 years now. I absolutely love playing. It helps me get through a lot. It’s my way of letting go sometimes. I drive a silver 98’ Ford Mustang GT Convertible. I love my car! It’s fun to drive with the top down and when the weather is right. It’s very soothing.
